It's time I updated my website. And since I slaved over this very simple design, I thought I might as well get some use out of it. So welcome. Glad to have you on board.

So what's here?

Back in the day before Web 2.0 I thought I'd like to be a web developer. I'd created several fan sites, and even did a couple of business-oriented sites. But they're gone now. Instead, I've embraced blogging, WordPress in particular, and am trying to find my voice (aka niche) in the blog world. So far, it's eluding me. Still, I have a few things things that you might be interested in.

  • Stream of Conscience (II), my current blog. The curent version is on WordPress.com, but that could change any day now.
  • Sci Fi Chicks, a website I'm maintaining with a group of friends who all enjoy sci fi, fantasy and horror tv (and, to a much lesser extent, movies)
  • Ms. Pack Brat is supposed to be my chronicle of getting my life and home in order. It goes in fits and starts. (The name is a take on Benjamin Bratt, the subject of my very first forays into web development.)
  • The FERS-o-meter, an attemp to calculate my retirement pay and date. It needs some work.

Who knows, maybe I'll come up with some more stuff one day.

What about this design?

It was something I tried via the CSS Zen Garden. The site isn't being used any longer, in that there are no more design submissions. But the pure HTML is still there to try out; and I like to visit the site every now and then for inspiration.

And since I'm a CSS neophyte (still!), I'll probably go back to try my hand at another (more complex... maybe) one day. In the meantime, you can take a look at my initial creation.

What? No other pages?

Nope. Since I'm not doing web design work anymore, I've pretty much given up the whole web site thing. I'm trying to move on to social media. Once I have Twitter and Facebook figured out, I'll let you know.

In the meantime, don't forget to check out Sci Fi Chicks and my personal blog. And Ms. Pack Brat, too. And the FERS-o-meter, if you're so inclined (meaning, if you're a Federal government employee).
